I am the youngest of six kids and although I feel that my parents love and appreciate all of us equally, the photos of me as an infant or toddler are somewhat sparse. For a Christmas present a few years back my sister transferred my parents old home videos (the kind on a reel) to DVD and we were able to watch some old videos including the video of when I came home from the hospital as an infant. I thought, 'finally, this is my moment' and then right in the middle of the relatively short video, my sister Laura gets banged in the head with the car door and essentially steals the show. What a disappointment :). So to made sure to schedule a photo shoot for little B so we could at least have a myriad of newborn shots and then we can lapse into forgetting to take tons of pics of him down the line.

So Kelsey (www.momentsbykelsey.com--this is my shameless plug because she did an amazing job and deserves lots of referrals) came over when Benson was just 6 days old and worked her magic. She brought her heater, cute hats and baskets and a magical sound machine and Benson was putty in her hands as you can see from the pics. We started off with the girls before they got their dresses goobered up with chocolate or who knows what. We had several rolls of smarties in our pockets and just kept 'feeding the meter' to keep them cooperative. Lydia went through about 2 rolls of smarties just so she would touch or hold Benson for the pics.  You can see in a few of them that they are so over this photo shoot thing, but we managed to get some good ones so Benson knows his big sisters love him.

Kelsey brought several adorable hats, but the blue one was knit by our neighbor across the street who has been crafting adorable sweaters, hats, booties, pants and even stuffed dogs for the girls since we first mentioned we were pregnant. I think she gave us the darling blue hat in the photo below on the day we found out it was a boy, so it's one of my favorite photos.

I think the finished product is amazing

As you can see, Lydia is less than thrilled

It's hard to see Benson amidst the fun chaos
